The BS Informatics program at UL Lafayette prepares professionals that are responsible for ensuring that a business runs smoothly, efficient, and securely. Once in the marketplace, the Informatics graduate take on the responsibility of creating, acquiring, and managing IT systems to serve business needs. In today’s world, managing and mitigating cyber security risks is integral part of their job function. Thus, our Informatics program contains courses to prepare these professionals in security techniques specific to the problem area, such as, networking, web programming, health informatics, and system administration.
