Target Audiences: Emergency Management, Emergency Management Director, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Fire, First Responders, Law Enforcement, Private Sector, Public Health, Public Safety Communications (911), and MCI Exercise Planners and relevant individuals that may be involved in an MCI response.

This course provides a comprehensive understanding to parish, local and private partners in the duties and responsibility of GOHSEP’s Critical Infrastructure team. Participants will discuss Residual Risk scores for Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSA) and Urban Area Security Initiatives (UASI) and learn the nomination process for the National Infrastructure Protection Plan (NCIPP) and potential funding streams.  Topics will also include local/state Special Event Assessment Rating (SEAR) Events with its respective data call with discussion of what it means to have a SEAR level 1 and 2 event. By the end of the course, participants will have received a comprehensive understanding for critical infrastructure criteria, data sources, eligibility, phases of nomination and justification, as well as events.
